FayetteKids Baptism

We want to help families own the Spiritual Development of the next generation. Scripture teaches us that parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children (Deuteronomy 6:7). Our hope is to partner with parents in their pursuit of this mission by coming alongside them in the discipleship process. We do this by making a safe and engaging environment where kids can worship through song, hear the story of the Gospel, and learn alongside friends in small groups. Each weekend, we get to help kids see the wonder of God and how each part of His story points us to Jesus.

Baptism Process

Baptism Process

We believe kids can understand salvation and put their faith in Jesus. We also believe that kids can seek to obey Christ’s command to be baptized! Our parent/guardian class is an opportunity for the grown-ups in a kid’s life to understand what baptism is, to determine if your child is ready to be baptized, and to answer any questions. Our goal is to partner with you in discipling your child through this process. Click HERE to see upcoming classes.

At the class, we will provide a parent workbook and a kid workbook. You will complete the three sessions together. As you work through them together, you will be able to answer your child’s questions and determine if they are ready to be baptized.

After you have completed the material together, reach out to our FayetteKids staff to schedule a time to talk with your child. After they are determined to be ready, we will schedule a time to perform the baptism and talk about who you would like to baptize them.

FAQ

FAQ

We have all been there! Be honest in telling them, “I don’t know, but I’ll find out!” Reach out to our FayetteKids team to ask for help. Be curious & ask questions. A couple of follow up questions can get at the heart of what your child is asking. As you ask questions, you may find you are, in fact, able to answer their questions.

You can either let our FayetteKids staff know ([email protected]), or you can reach out to our adult community team ([email protected]) and let them know you’d like to talk about getting baptized.

Baptism is a symbol of an inner change in the life of a believer in Jesus. It was given to us by Jesus to identify us with Him and with His church. At Fellowship, we practice baptism by immersion.

That is one of the reasons we have the Parent/Guardian Class. We believe that parents are the primary spiritual influencers in the lives of kids. We will give you resources to help you have these conversations with your kids.
